Great instructor. Marcus is very direct, answers all questions, even the ones with obvious answers. For my specific situation I went for the ‘nj ccw course’ prior to learning basic handling procedures accidentally, yet he taught thoroughly from how to hold the gun, dry fire, and lastly live fire. I qualified with a 90/100. Benchmark to pass is 80 I believe. Would highly recommend.

Honestly was a great class. Coming from a state where there is open carry to NJ where the laws are ridiculous- this class was amazing to teach you. Learned a lot with all different type of scenarios, how to carry gun and hollister it. Laws and regulations. Highly recommend Marcus.

We attended the gun range where he stood by your side and gave you step by step instructions on shooting the weapon. He gives you options as to which gun your comfortable with. Marcus is incredibly knowledgeable, down to earth, and experienced. As a beginner, I came in a bit nervous and not knowing what to expect. Because of the small class sizes (which is ideal) Marcus was able to teach me the important information in an easy-to-understand way and personally guided me to help me feel more comfortable. He is a very high quality trainer. Marcus Marquez @ Northjerseyfirearmstraining is a master instructor. I’m an educator, older adult and a firearms Novice. After the Introductory course, I’ve learned the essentials of Firearms Safety for NJ, such as - the best practices to ensure respect and responsibility of firearm ownership and use. Most of all he was responsive to my questions, and showed empathy for my anxiety as a mature female. After my first gun shooting at the indoor range, I remember shaking and being shocked by the power of pulling the trigger and loud bangs. Marcus showed compassion for my panic attack and with patience , he checked in with me to describe how I felt and to tell him when I was ready to proceed with the training at the range. Most of all I appreciated that he never discouraged me or made me feel badly about my initial reaction to all of the new stimulus around me. I look forward to continue my training, increased target focus and desensitization to the loud sound of shooting.
